FIRSTLY THANK YOU MARGARITA FOR LETTING METAL GODS TV HAVE THE PLEASURE OF INTERVIEWING YOU

Thank you for having me, I’m excited to be a part!

FOR THE PEOPLE OUT THEIR WHO HAVENT HEARD OF EDGE OF PARADISE WHAT ARE YOU GUYS ABOUT?

About making music we’re proud of, and creating a sound that can withstand the test of time!

And of course world domination and all that other stuff πŸ˜‰

11004751_10152616183465658_1671665335_nSO WHAT BANDS HAVE HAD THE BIGGEST INFLUENCES ON YOUR CAREER?

We all have different backgrounds, and that’s what i think helps make our sound unique, of course we all love and are influenced by the greats, Black Sabbath, Iron Maiden, Dio, Van Halen, I know Dave, our guitarist is influenced by Randy Rhoades, Steve Vai, Paul Gilbert (RACER X), Frank Gambale. I come from a classical back ground, i was a concert pianist, so I draw a lot from that. All the bands we love have their own sound, you can’t mix them up with someone else, that’s what we strive to do!

I KNOW WE ARE JUST INTO 2015 BUT HOWS THE YEAR BEEN SO FAR?

So far so good! We had a very successful tour first 2 weeks on Jan, we went to Colorado and Texas, so that was awesome! Our music video for In A Dream is done (out in April), it was filmed and edited by very talented Daniel de La Parra.

We are also very excited to say that our songs will be part of a movie called EVELYN RISING, it’s a sic fi thriller written by Phil Aslaksen and directedby Marcus Innocenti, we’ll be talking a lot more about that, the filming will start in April, so we are thrilled to be a part of that! And we’re just getting the pieces together for our CD release for “Immortal Waltz” and getting back out on the road!

YOUR LAST EP ‘PERFECT SHADE OF BLACK’ GOT RAVE REVIEWS WHATS NEXT ALBUM WISE FOR YOU GUYS?

Thank you! We are excited to be releasing our full length album ‘Immortal Waltz’ in a few months, it’s schedule for end of April, to be released through Pure Steel Records. The album is recorded, produced and mixed by legendary Michael Wagner, who was a huge part of creating the sound of Edge Of Paradise. This is our second full length CD, but it feels like our debut CD, because we feel like with this one, we really created a sound that will define the band and we can’t wait for everyone to hear it! We also got two music videos coming our in April and May πŸ™‚

SO YOU HAVE JUST GOT BACK FROM TOURING, WHAT DOES 2015 HOLD FOR E.O.P?

More touring! Once the album is out, our goal is to tour as much as possible to as many places as possible! Our label is 11004937_10152616183550658_1144024428_nbased in Europe, so that’s the next step for us, to bring the live show overseas! And our live show is a huge part of the band, we put great emphasis on having an epic show that people will remember! And visually as well, we’ve been building the stage show so it matches the music, for an epic experience πŸ™‚

And also working on the film Evelyn Rising, I mentioned before!

We also already have new songs that we’re going to record with Michael Wagener soon, and we remade Black Sabbath’s Children Of The Sea, Dio is one of my biggest influences, so we’ve been wanting to cover that song for a while, and we’re very excited for it to finally happen!

OUT OF THE BAND WHAT DO YOU GUYS LIKE TODO TO RELAX?

We don’t even know what that word means πŸ˜‰ I guess we relax when Nick (our bass player) is driving the van πŸ™‚ But in all honesty, i think we get more energized when we have a lot going on, i don’t know if I’m speaking for myself, but when we’re on tour, or working on the song, we can just do that all day, without a need to relax, cause that’s what fuels us, I think if i had an office job and a lot of time to relax I would go insane πŸ™‚

Also we all get a long great, it took Dave and I a while before we formed a solid lineup and with Nick Ericson (bass) and John Chominsky (drums) in the band, our work is one big exciting adventure!

MUSIC NOW IS BECOMING MORE DIGITAL BASED WITH DOWNLOADS DO YOU THINK THAT VINYL AND CDS ARE COMING BACK?

I think that it will definitely stay digital based, but i think more and more people are buying CD’s and Vinyls as well! Those who grew up in that world where it was about going to the record stores and finding out about a new band, or 10966573_10152616183515658_120032562_nanticipating the record from their favorite band, miss that aspect of the whole experience, so now that more and more bands starting to put out Vinyl or some limited edition packaged that people can actually hold in their hand, that’s definitely getting popular, because you get to own a piece of art, and that’s really cool!

And i think younger people that never got to experience that, are intrigued by that, it’s like a whole new world for them, so I think that at the end of the day, of course music will be digital, but the physical CD’s and Vinyls will not be lost, I doubt that those will become more popular then digital downloads, just because everything is revolving around convenience and instant gratification, but true music fans, will always have CD’s and Vinyl in their collection!

SO WHEN DO WE EXPECT TO SEE YOU GUYS IN THE UK?

It’s definitely in the plans, first step is getting the record out and promoting it and then heading overseas! A lot of our sales come from UK, so hopefully by the end of 2015 we can have our first UK invasion completed! πŸ™‚
