Birmingham based old school death metallers, MEMORIAM, are very pleased to announce that they will be headlining Annihilation Fest 2017.

Annihilation Fest is a one day festival scheduled for 20th May, situated at Southampton’s Talking Heads venue. 2017 will be the fourth year of the festival. Also playing will be Dutch heavy instrumentalists Tank86, UK based Snuff Grind troupe Basement Torture Killings and London based heavy metal four piece Kill For Company. Many more acts to be announced in due course.

Memoriam are currently gearing up for the release of their first full length record ‘For The Fallen’ on 24^th March 2017 via Nuclear Blast.

The record will contain 8 tracks, incl. ‘War Rages On’, ‘Resistance’ (both featured on ‘The Hellfire Demos II’) and ‘Surrounded (By Death)’ (featured on ‘The Hellfire Demos II’).
The album’s impressive artwork was created by Dan Seagrave (Benediction, Dismember, Hypocrisy, Suffocation and many more).

MEMORIAM was primarily developed to fill the void that was left following the tragic death of Martin ‘Kiddie’ Kearns, the drummer from Bolt Thrower, back in September 2015. Bolt Thrower subsequently placed all activity on hold for the foreseeable future which gave Karl Willetts an opportunity to develop a new project with friends that had expressed interest in forming a band for some time. MEMORIAM are an old-school death metal band, maintaining the high standards set by their previous bands, focusing on the themes of death, loss and war. Initially the band members got together to play covers of songs that had influenced them throughout their careers within the death metal scene, however it soon became apparent that the new songs that they created were of a superior standard.
