Passion is a British group that combines the strength of hard rock with some melodic elements led by Lion Ravarez. This band has surprised their audience by releasing an E.P. titled “Under the Covers” that pays tribute to iconic bands from the early 90’s with a very particular style.

Van Halen’s Poundcake is the first song in this short work. This version stands out for the intensity that Lion Ravarez contributes through his vocal performance denoting that Sammy Haggar constitutes one of his musical influences. A song well accomplished in musical terms respecting the essence of the original version.

The following song is a Slaughter classic: Up All Night. Unlike the original song, this British band’s version is more rhythmic and evokes that festive atmosphere that characterized the scene during the late 1980s and early 1990s.

Another of the characteristic groups of the early 90’s was Ratt, the version presented in this short album is Loving You Is A Dirty Job in which the original structure of the song is respected, although in terms of sound it presents that Passion’s hallmark that he has made well defined on his debut album.

Easy Come Easy Go is the last song to be picked up from the American band Winger. With a style more oriented to hard rock that is distinguished by the power of the guitar and the drums, together with the marked lines of the bass. It is a musical theme that is enjoyed from start to finish.

Under the Covers is a material that is definitely worth listening to as it appropriates the classics of melodic metal presenting a fresher and more dynamic musical proposal. It is a job well done by Lion Ravarez and company. This British group shines with its own light and surely has left a smile among those followers of melodic metal in these times of quarantine.
