SHOTGUN MISTRESS Single Review: “Glorious Machine”

SHOTGUN MISTRESS
“GLORIOUS MACHINE”
Single Review by Iron Mathew

8/10

Shotgun Mistress are a hard rock band from Australia, formed in 2018 by guitarist Matt Wilcock – yes, that Matt Wilcock, the death metal guitarist Matt Wilcock, known for his work with The Berzerker, Akercocke, and Abramelin…

…Shotgun Mistress are as far from the death metal genre as Earth is from the sun! Highly energetic hard rock is what Shotgun Mistress is all about, the band having already unleashed two singles – ‘No Friend Of Mine’ (2019) and ‘Save Me From Myself’ (2020) – now release a third, ‘Glorious Machine’ (2020).

The band are completed by “Diamond” Dave Lee (drums), Ben Curnow (bass), and Glenn Patrick (vocals), ‘Glorious Machine’ is hard rock ‘n’ roll – full of energy and bombast, and so heavy hitting, it will hit you right between the eyes and send you into next week.

‘Glorious Machine’ displays an American sleaze rock attitude, mixed with the hard hitting style of British rock, and will elevate the band up a level in the worldwide hard rock scene.

Overall, a punchy adrenaline rush from a new band, ‘Glorious Machine’ is a raucous, hard rock ‘n’ roll ride.
