FULL HOUSE BREW CREW Album Review: “Bare Knuckle”

FULL HOUSE BREW CREW
“Bare Knuckle”
Album Review by Piers Renfree

7.5/10

From Athens in Greece they come, the four piece heavy, groove metal band, Full House Brew Crew (FHBC) with their latest album “Bare Knuckle”.

Currently consisting of Vagelis Kazis (vocals, guitar), George Tzatzakis (guitar), Spiros Dafalias (bass), and Alex Keito (drums), the band are influenced by the likes of Pantera, Metallica, Black Label Society, 5 Finger Death Punch (5FDP) & Godsmack. This is the band’s third album since their formation in 2009, following 2011’s debut “Bet It All”, and 2018’s “Me Against You”.

The ten songs on “Bare Knuckle”, last for just over half an hour. The production is crisp and clean; the guitars have a nice, modern bite to them and the Vagelis vocals go from melodic to a more gruff shout. The songs should go down well in the live arena; they are very headbanging and jumping friendly, while also being very catchy for a good sing-along. The band also employ light and shade, when they choose. Although the musicians are undoubtedly good, there is little on offer here that sets the band apart from the crowd.
