SACRIFIX E.P. Review: “The Limit Of Thrash”

SACRIFIX
“The Limit Of Thrash”
E.P. Review by Iron Mathew

8/10

Sacrifix are a thrash metal band from Brazil founded in 2019 by vocalist/guitarist Frank Gasparotto. The bands debut album ‘World Decay 19’ (released in 2021) was written, performed, and produced by Frank – later joined by bass player Kexo, and drummer Gustavo Piza. With a second album planned for release later this year, the band release the three song E.P. ‘The Limit Of Thrash’ (2022)…

…featuring two unreleased songs, and a demo of the title song from the album ‘World Decay 19’.

First up, is ‘Thrash Again’, a blistering high velocity rampage of all out thrash. The band pull no punches, delivering “raw energy with no mercy” comments Frank – and you better believe him! The head bang ability of ‘Thrash Again’ is sky high, with the fast, fierce, and ferocious pace an amalgamation of bands such as Sodom, Testament, Exodus, Megadeth, and Kreator – basically a who’s who of thrash metal legends.

‘No Limite Da Forca’ is a cover of Brazil thrashers Anthares classic title song, from their 1987 album ‘No Limite Da Forca’. Sacrifix maintain the originals explosive energy, keeping to a similar pace, and delivering a scorching version to be very proud of. The final song ‘World Decay 19 (demo)’ is a raw version of the title song from the bands debut album, featuring one guitar and no effects.

Overall, a three song insight that shows the band in three different lights, with the new song a terrific teaser for the bands upcoming second album.
