Only about a week left to go until the long awaited new studio album Incoming Deathby Dutch Doom Death Metal division ASPHYX is released worldwide on September 30th, 2016 via Century Media Records. Therefore, ASPHYX are pleased to debut a promotional video clip for the new album’s track “Forerunners Of The Apocalypse” today!
Directed by Maurice Swinkels / Younique Film (Exodus, Kataklysm, etc.), who already worked on the “Deathhammer” clip by ASPHYX, and featuring conceptual illustrations by Roberto Toderico, you can check out the video and the track here:https://youtu.be/BFaiGiWcyY8
ASPHYX vocalist Martin van Drunen checked in with the following comment about the video: “Forerunners Of The Apocalypse” is the first official video from the “Incoming Death” album. Done on a hot Thursday night at the Turbinenhalle in Oberhausen, Germany, where massive credits go out to the crew there. Lots of sweat, beers, laughter and probably the loudest playback session ever in metal! Filmed and edited by the one and only Maurice Swinkels, who probably went deaf after this. A grand cheerz also goes out to Roberto Toderico for the great Mongol warrior drawings! It was the last track written for the album, about genocidal ruler Genghis Khan. Especially about the sacking of Urgench, where 1.2 million were decapitated without mercy. A fucken stampede of a headbanger, so break your necks on this one!”
Media reaction continues to be fantastic for Incoming Death and issue #104 of Germany’s Legacy Magazine not only showcases the band on the cover (see above!) with a comprehensive title story, but it also includes an exclusive 6-track ASPHYX sampler CD dubbed “Servants Of Death” including 2 new tracks as well as 4 live cuts. Next to the album’s standard version on CD, Gatefold LP (with poster) and Digital Download, “Incoming Death” will also be as a limited edition 2-Disc Mediabook (with 3 stickers), including two bonus cover versions (“Servants Of The Warsmen” by Winter and “Master” by Master) as well as a DVD including the ASPHYX liveshows at Czech Republic’s Brutal Assault Open Air 2015, France’s Hellfest 2016 and the videoclip for “Deathhammer”.

ASPHYX has also confirmed even more shows, including a run of dates along North America’s West Coast for 2017 as well as shows in Ireland and Austria. Additionally, tomorrow marks the band’s anticipated appearance at Turock Open Air in Essen, Germany!
