BASTARD
“TRYHARD-CORE”
E.P. Review by Piers Renfree
7/10
From the pubs of Norwich in England comes the beer fuelled, five piece agressive pop-punk band, “Bastard”.
This 4 song E.P. is available as a download, and is short, sharp and to the point. None of the songs here – “Bastard Son”, “Souled Out”, “Night Hag” and “Last Goodbye” – reach the 3 minute mark.
Each song has a nice, headbanging riff and the rhythm section is really good. The shouty vocals are actually clear enough to be understood without need of a lyric sheet and the production is that good that everyone can be heard clearly.
They sound like they could be a lot of fun live and I hope to catch them at some point.
