Blaze Bayley Album Review: “December Wind”

BLAZE BAYLEY
“DECEMBER WIND”
Album Review by Stacey Fawcett

8/10

“December Wind” is an acoustic album released by Blaze Bayley (ex frontman of Wolfsbane and Iron Maiden), however he is a solo artist in his own right with notable previous albums such as ‘Silicon Messiah’ and ‘The Man Who Would Not Die’. Also on this album is the astounding Thomas Zwijsen who is known for his acoustic covers of metal songs in a classical style.

What an album, with some gems on here for the Iron Maiden fans who will listen to this. The guitar work is astounding throughout, with highlights being “Sign Of The Cross” and “The Crimson Tide”. Blaze vocally as per usual is a strong performance, my only criticism is that I’d like it toned down slightly. Sometimes it can seem a bit shouty, and not a natural delivery.
