The band recently announced on their Facebook page that they had reformed and that they are working on new material.
KILL II THIS released four albums between 1996 and 2004 to widespread critical acclaim, most notably for their ‘Deviate’ and ‘Trinity’ albums. The band built on this with extensive European tours including supports with Slipknot, Machine Head, Megadeth and Fear Factory.

In a statement, guitarist Mark Mynett said, “Jeff (Singer, drums), Pete (Stone, bass) and I have been talking about reforming KILL II THIS for a few years but the timing simply hasn’t been right. Jeff has been busy with his session work, including long-term commitments with BLAZE BAYLEY and PARADISE LOST, and I’ve been concentrating on a career in music production and lecturing on the subject, and have recently completed a six-year PhD on ‘Contemporary Metal Music Production’. So timing-wise everything really came together this year and we were able to put together the original line up with the addition of Simon Gordon (ex-XENTRIX) as vocalist. Jeff and I had both worked with Simon before on the CITY OF GOD project so it made sense for him to be involved.

One thing we’ve been clear on from the outset, is that Kill II This reforming would only happen if we had something new to say as a band. We therefore initially concentrated on writing new material, with the fresh influence of Simon’s vocal style. The new songs came together really well – I’m totally fired-up about them. It’s unmistakably KILL II THIS, but with a new twist for 2014. We are currently speaking with booking agents and scheduling more shows to follow very soon.”
