Prisimink Mane – did it stand the test of time?

The
Lithuanian progressive pagan/black metal band JUODVARNIS reveals
another song from their upcoming album
“Nerimo
Dienos” (‘Days Of Disquiet’). While the first single “Diena
Kai Pasenau” burst out with anger and frustration, the second one –
“Prisimink Mane” (EN- ‘Remember Me’) – shines through in a
different color. Emotionally – much more melancholic, almost
romantic, yet not avoiding extremity. Lyrically, “Prisimk Mane”
digs into a fabric of cosmos and into nature of our reality to find a
reflection of human mind in it.

Prisimink
Mane” went through the longest route to the new album. Its
beginning dates back even to 2013 when Paulius, founder of the band,
attempted to create a side-project with his best friend Augustinas,
who was a non-occupied drummer after his band split up same year.
Eventually, Augustinas became a drummer of Juodvarnis. A few years
later, almost at the end of creation of “Nerimo Dienos”, two
friends decided to revive this old piece of music. Surprisingly –
the song itself subconsciously told that it had a part of the new
album as it received its name (‘Remember Me’) only after the
lyrics were written. Listen to “Prisimink Mane” and decide for
yourself if this song stood the test of time.

“Days
of Disquiet” was recorded in Sound Division Studio in Riga,
Latvia, and Muzlab Studio in Vilnius, Lithuania. Mixing done in
Muzlab Studio. Mastering by Tony Lindgren (Enslaved, Dimmu Borgir,
Sepultura, Leprous) at Fascination Street Studios in Orebro, Sweden.
