MORAST
“MORAST” EP
Album Review By Caner Can
7/10
The sound of the first release of the band Morast is in between the genres like black, death and doom metal. At first, it gives you some kind of discomfort and this is for sure what the band tried to achieve and that doomy sound isn’t stopping until the end. As a listener you expect to hear some punchiness but it isn’t going to happen. Their Melvins like depressive and death metal sound continues without any resolution; it is probably the best example of Sartre’s nausea in that metal genre. The whole record is somewhat repetitive but it is a pleasure for those who seek that unstable depressive sound.
