8.5/10

Night Demon are a heavy metal band from the USA forming in 2011 who released their self titled E.P. the following year. The bands first full length album ‘Curse Of The Damned’, was released in 2015 with the follow up, ‘Darkness Remains’, a 2017 release.

In the three years since the release of ‘Darkness Remains’, Night Demon have been on a metal crusade, taking their brand of heavy metal onto the world stage by constant touring. And now in 2020, the band are ready to release their brand new single ‘Empires Fall’.

A fast paced and highly infectious gallop, ‘Empires Fall’ is a classic, traditional heavy metal romp with a massive NWOBHM feel, performed by an American band. Yes, that’s right, American. The wide reaching influence of the iconic British sound of heavy metal has infected Night Demon right through to the bone – with glorious results.

‘Empires Fall is “our first offering of 2020” states Jarvis Leatherby, the bands vocalist and bass player. Does that mean more? A new album perhaps? Only time will tell, but for now, sit back, turn the volume up, and enjoy ‘Empires Fall’.

Overall, a thundering gallop of flat out, full on and intense heavy metal with a huge NWOBHM flavour.
