Radio Moscow Album Review: “New Beginnings”

RADIO MOSCOW
“NEW BEGINNINGS”
Album Review By Barry Vest Sr

10/10

In the depths of Physcodelic Blues Rock there are bands that are the “go-to” bands. Led Zeppelin are most notable in the air of Radio Moscow, as a blues laden rock record that is an all-out jam session of seventies proportions. It’s a seamless, and in my opinion, perfect translation of everything that defines an old era and brings it forward to today. Much akin to bands such as Blues Pills, Elephant Tree, and Mother Tongue, Radio Moscow has that wonderful tone that just gets you groovin’. It begs to be played on a record player with a fifth of Jack in one hand and joint in the other. This takes me back to the red room, a friend’s bar, where I spent many a glorious day listening to some serious old school magic. This is a must to anyone with love for the classics of what becomes metal as we know it. Without these sounds our world would be a foul shallow place to exist.

RADIO MOSCOW ARE:

Paul Marrone – Drums
Anthony Meier – Bass
Parker Griggs – Guitar/Vocals
