Save The Noize is a charity project based in Sweden, started in 2020 by Rasmus Harnesk Wiklund (lead singer of Swedish melodic metal band Veritas), and Velvet Insane’s guitarist Jesper Lindgren. The project has released three singles to date – ‘Save The Noize‘ (2021), ‘Save The Noize 2‘ (2021), and ‘Save The Noize 3’, released in 2022…

…with Thundermother founder and guitarist Filippa Nassil joining the charity project. The new single ‘Save The Noize 3’, is (and sorry to state the obvious) the third release from the project, and the first to have its own title – ‘Can’t Take The Freedom From Me’. Written by Filippa Nassil, the song is released in aid of the Ukraine crisis through a donation to Save The Children.

‘Save The Noize 3 – Can’t Take The Freedom From Me’, features the following musicians:

Filippa Nassil (Thundermother)
Emlee Johansson (Thundermother)
Liv Sin (ex Sister Sin)
Martin Motnik (Accept)
Snowy Shaw (ex King Diamond)
Chaq Mol (Dark Funeral)
Pontus Snibb (Bonafide)
Linnea Vikstrom (At The Movies, ex Therion)
Ross “The Boss” Friedman (ex Manowar, The Dictators)
Soren Andersen (Chad Smith, Glenn Hughes, Marco Mendoza)
Chris Rosander

And as for the single itself – a bluesy hard rock swagger that is head noddingly and feet tappingly addictive. As Filippa explains “war is unreasonable and goes against human rights. The chorus of the song is about no matter how horribly a person is treated, no one can take away one’s value from one another”. And talking of the chorus – I guarantee you’ll be singing along, for the chorus is just so freaking infectious! Come on, all together now…”can’t take the freedom from me”.

Overall, a great project, featuring some of worlds greatest rock and metal musicians uniting in aid of charity.
