VISIONATICA Album Review: “Enigma Fire”

VISIONATICA
“ENIGMA FIRE”
Album Review by Piers Renfree

8/10

Formed in Nuremburg, Germany in 2013, the four piece symphonic metal band, Visionatica – consisting of vocalist Tamara Amedov, guitarist Manuel Buhl, bassist Tim Zahn and drummer Gerhard Spanner – have to date released two studio albums; their 2016 debut, “Force Of Luna” and this, “Enigma Fire”.

The music on offer is very good, orchestral passages that paint pictures in your mind, merging effortlessly with the band’s driving metal. Tamara Amedov’s vocals are some of the best I have ever heard, soaring with crystal clear pronunciation. Michael Liewald of Winterstorm adds his vocal talents to the song “The Thorns”, duet-ing beautifully with Tamara.

Produced and recorded by Timon Seidel, while Olaf Reitmeier (who has worked with Kamelot, Epica and Avantasia) handled the mixing and mastering of the album, has resulted in a top notch, crisp & clear production.

A thoroughly enjoyable listen
